On April 21, 2026, final-year Doctor of Pharmacy students at Salim Habib University visited Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS), Ojha Campus, for an educational exposure visit.
During the visit, students toured the Central Warehouse Medicine Storage Facility, the cold-chain storage area, controlled-access zones, and the segregation of medicines by dosage form, gaining valuable insight into efficient inventory management and safe pharmaceutical practices. The visit further included observations of the Oncology Pharmacy, OT Pharmacy, and Outpatient Pharmacy, offering students a closer look at professional medication handling and patient safety protocols.
A key highlight of the visit was an interactive session on Clinical Pharmacy conducted by Dr. Asma Hamid, Director, Pharmacy Services, DUHS’s team. The session provided meaningful insight into the evolving role of pharmacists in clinical decision-making and patient care, leaving a lasting impact on students’ professional outlook.
