REMEMBERING: His Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan IV (1936-2025)

With profound sorrow, Salim Habib University mourns the passing of His Highness Prince Karim Aga Khan IV, a visionary leader, a champion of humanity, and empowerment.

Prince Aga Khan IV was recognized not only for his spiritual leadership but also for his contributions to education, healthcare, social welfare, and women’s empowerment. His Highness’s life was marked by a commitment to serve humanity irrespective of race, religion, gender, and ethnicity. He carried out countless welfare initiatives for underprivileged and middle-class communities, notably the establishment of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), which benefitted millions of people all across the world.

With his passing, the world has lost a compassionate, empathetic, and selfless leader, but his enduring legacy will continue to inspire generations to build a more enlightened world.
