World Population Day

World Population Day is an annual day held to raise awareness about the rapidly rising global population. The main focus of this day is to bring to people’s attention the various global population issues we are currently facing, such as widespread poverty, breach of human rights, inaccessibility of health facilities, deteriorating reproductive health, gender-based inequities, and a lot more, and thus to highlight the importance of population management through family planning. It is time to take the Population Explosion, that is, the rapidly increasing population growth rates we are seeing, seriously, and to take steps to control it.
