International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women

Violence against women remains one of the world’s most pressing and pervasive human rights issues. November 25 is recognized as the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, designated by the United Nations General Assembly to raise awareness about all forms of violence against women. The day also marks the beginning of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, which concludes on International Human Rights Day.

This year’s theme, “UNiTE to End Digital Violence Against All Women and Girls”, emphasizes on the growing threat of digital violence and the urgent need to protect women and girls from online abuse, harassment, and exploitation.

Today, let’s promise to work together and take collective action to ensure a safer online environment and empower women to thrive in both the physical and digital worlds.
