On Thursday, November 13, 2025, the Press Information Department, Karachi, in collaboration with Salim Habib University’s Centre for Policy Research & Sustainability (CPRS), organized a thought-provoking panel discussion on Far-Right Narratives and Violent Extremism. The session brought together experts, thought leaders, and academics for a comprehensive dialogue on the root causes, social implications, and long-term impacts of extremist ideologies.
The panel featured Ambassador Ghulam Rasool Baluch, Senior Fellow & Honorary Director, Global and Regional Studies Center, Institute of Business Management, and Dr. Naeem Ahmed, Chairman & Associate Professor, Department of International Relations, University of Karachi. The discussion was moderated by Ms. Arfa Abdul Razzaq, Assistant Director, Press Information Department, whose thoughtful moderation added depth to the conversation. Attendees had the opportunity to deepen their understanding of the challenges posed by violent extremism and the importance of fostering inclusive and peaceful societies.
Ms. Iram Tanweer, Director General, Press Information Department, also graced the event with her presence.
